The Town of Trafalgar Planning Commission guides the town’s physical growth and land use in alignment with its comprehensive plan. The Commission reviews subdivision plats, zoning changes, development plans, and other proposals to ensure that new development is orderly, sustainable, and serves the public interest.
The Commission is made up of seven voting members and one non-voting Secretary. Three voting members are appointed by the Town Council and must be elected or appointed municipal officials or employees. The remaining four voting members are appointed by the Town Council President, with no more than two members from the same political party. The Secretary serves in a non-voting capacity and is appointed by the Town Council.
